Fine Wine & Good Spirits is relocating one block west along Chestnut Street into a 6,000-square-foot retail space in Center City.
Fine Wine & Good Spirits is relocating its Center City store one block west along Chestnut Street.
The existing store at 1112 Chestnut Street is preparing to close. As a result, The Collins apartment building will lose another ground-floor retail tenant.
Philadelphia-based Brickstone owns The Collins. Meanwhile, the new Fine Wine & Good Spirits location will open at 1225 Chestnut Street.
The retailer will occupy approximately 6,000 square feet at the new location. Previously, The Suit Store Outlet operated from the space before closing on June 27.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board operates Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations throughout the state. Recently, a notice posted at 1225 Chestnut Street confirmed that a new lease had been signed.
The relocation keeps the retailer within the same Center City corridor. However, the move shifts another tenant away from the retail portion of The Collins.
An entity affiliated with Nissan Shemesh and members of the Nechemia family owns 1225 Chestnut Street. The Nechemia family also leads Alinea Capital Group.
Although the store is moving only one block, the relocation highlights continued tenant movement across Center City’s retail market. Furthermore, retailers continue evaluating locations based on visibility, accessibility, and changing customer traffic patterns.
The new location will maintain Fine Wine & Good Spirits’ presence along Chestnut Street. At the same time, the move introduces a new retail vacancy at The Collins.
